Missing Pets
NEW!!! 7-15-2010
Tom, my 14 year old golden/chow roadside rescue mix has been missing since the fireworks. (Yes, my dog sitter had explicit instructions to put him INSIDE for fireworks because he freaks out......aaarrrrrgh.)
I have no idea where he went, but he is very old and has hip dysplaysia so I cannot imagine it was far. My back yard connects to the old John Carroll Field and neighbors on Beech Lane. I am digging through as much kudzu and brush as I can.....
Please look in your back yards and any holes/ditches/gulleys where he may have hidden and gotten stuck. We do have copperheads around, so please be careful.
He does have the vet tag on his collar, but my number is 566-0278. I recently moved and he has his old Montrose Circle address on the collar. Please call with any info, even if it is bad. Not knowing anything is awful.
Thank you.

Felix is still missing. (Two weeks now, but I don't want to give up. I guess hope springs eternal and they are supposed to have nine lives.... ). Thanks to the two folks who posted with areas to check out, any information is appreciated. He is an eight year old, altered male, Very Large, very friendly and social to humans, long haired Black and White cat, looks like a Persian but doesn’t have the flat face of a Persian. If anyone has seen this cat since Thursday, May 22nd please let me know, I live in the vicinity of 11th Ave. and 54th Street South. I fear he may have internal injuries and is hiding somewhere. I had to be out of town from Monday 26th until this week, but my daughter has been looking after the house and also looking for the cat while I was gone. He has on occasion been gone for a couple of days and turned back up but I’m afraid he’s hurt. Anyway, If anyone has seen a large, black and white long haired cat since that Thursday, please let me know . My direct email address is: jetgray@bham.rr.com and cell number is 903-4022. Thank you for any help with this.
